Outrageous Success with the Nick Kid's Choice Awards in Germany

LaFee, US5, Lukas Podolfski, and Jamie Lynn Spears were the lucky winners of the NICK Kid's Choice Awards

Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht was a big hit with his first live performance Green slime shower for entertainer Elton

One surprise after another was what blew everyone away at the NICK Kid's Choice Awards. The performance was held at the Movie Park Germany, in Bottrop on October 18, 2007. The kids channel NICK rolled out the orange carpet in Germany for the first time ever, and the celebrities flocked to it! Many stars appeared at the event including: Presenter Nena, Monrose girls Mandy and Bahar, actor colleagues Susan Sideropoulos and Felix von Jascheroff, singer Liza Li, the Band Lexington Bridge as well as multi talented Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht.

The show included tons of surprises, followed by loads of green NICK slime. The US5 boys were among the shining winners of the day. First, they received the award for "Favorite Band". Then, they performed their song "If You Leave" in a group of four for the first time, leaving the audience rather impressed. Singer LaFee brought forth highlight for the show with her hit single "Heul Doch" ("Then Cry"). But there was no reason for her to cry. She received one of the most prestigious awards in the category "Favorite Singer." The award was in the form of a blimp which was handed over to the artist from US actor Josh Peck.

Singer Nevio missed out on this award, but the charming Italian won the sympathy of the audience with his song "Firenze." Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht turned the heat up on the young spectators wtih his first live-on-stage-performance of his single "I'm loving… (l.r.h.p.)." Also as the leading actor of the movie "Die wilden Kerle 4," he was very pleased to have it voted as "Favorite Movie" by the kids.

Soccer world champion and Kids Choice presenter Birgit Prinz delivered a cheerful message for Lukas Podolski. After a disappointing defeat on Wednesday, he won a blimp for being the kids "Favorite Athlete." He thanked his fans and was very appreciative. Some of the NICK talents from the USA had a reason to celebrate as well. Devon Werkheiser recieved an award in the category "Favorite Series" for his NICK show "Ned's ultimativer Schulwahnsinn,." Jamie Lynn Spears was also awarded a prize, as "Favorite Actress" in her NICK series "Zoey 101", She had to send her greetings and thanks to her German fans from America.

The NICK hosts Buerger Last Dietrich and Nela Panhhly-Lee walked through the show with their co-host Elton. The trio provided a firework of gags in a special way. A great honor was bestowed upon entertainer Elton at the end of the Kid's Choice Awards. A mysterious agent was able to sabotage the release of the slime shower. However, the kids activated it by a thunderous applause and Elton was doused with green NICK slime. He concluded with his "Hidden Talent".
