Kids Cast Almost 27 Million Votes, a Record Number, for "Oscar Junior" Event Featuring Appearances by Will Smith, Bruce Willis, Pink, Chris Rock, and Major Celebrity Slimings with Robin Williams and US Olympic Freestyle Aerial Skier Ryan St Onge

New York, NY—April 4, 2006—The live telecast of Nickelodeon's 19th Annual Kids' Choice Awards on Saturday, April 1, (8-9:30 p.m. ET/PT) earned top honors as the number-one telecast for kids 6-11 on all of television and the top cable program with tweens 9-14, both for the week of Mar. 27 – Apr. 2. The highest-rated Kids' Choice Awards with kids 6-11 and total viewers ever, the broadcast garnered a record 5.9 million persons 2+.

With kids 6-11, the show averaged a 12.6/2.5 million viewers, even in rating and +1% in impressions over last year's show, and was the highest-rated telecast on all of television for kids 6-11 last week (3/27/06-4/2/06) beating American Idol. Tweens also tuned in full force, with a 11.2/2.3 million tween viewers, +7% above last year and the highest rating for a Kids' Choice Awards (with tweens 9-14) in four years. With kids 2-11, the show averaged a 9.8/3.2 million, +3% above last year's telecast. The telecast beat all competition by triple digits for the time period among all key demos (K2-11, K6-11, T9-14 and P2+). In addition, the star-studded event reached a cumulative 4.7 million kids 2-11 and 9.5 million total viewers (P2+)*.

This year's Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards generated a record-breaking 26.6 million votes, +47% in 2006 versus the prior year, in a total of 16 categories on Nick.com and via cell phones by wireless text messaging, March 6-April 1. Almost 500,000 kids voted for their favorite burp alone! In addition, Nickelodeon's TurboNick, the network's broadband video service on Nick.com, simulcasted live the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards – a first in TV awards show history – driving Nick.com to its highest day ever with more than 1.2 million unique visitors**. TurboNick also offered kids an opportunity to personalize their Kids' Choice Awards experience, allowing users to choose from several webcams capturing the awards show from camera angles such as behind-the-scenes, audience cam, and more, as well as several Kids' Choice Awards themed skins.

The entire awards telecast will encore Sunday, April 9 at 1 p.m. ET/PT. Kids Choice Awards: Best of the Mess, a 30-minute program, airs Tuesday, April 4 at 5 p.m.; Thursday, April 6 at 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 8 at 11:30 a.m. (all times are ET/PT). Will Smith, Lindsay Lohan, Chris Rock, Drake Bell, Jamie Lynn Spears, Lance Armstrong, Green Day, Jesse McCartney and Kelly Clarkson all nabbed coveted Kids' Choice Blimp Awards at Nickelodeon's

19th Annual Kids' Choice Awards, which featured stars of TV, movies, music and sports. Kids honored their favorites at this year's slime fest show hosted for the first time by Jack Black at UCLA's Pauley Pavilion.

The star-studded telecast featured celebrity participants including Bruce Willis, Cameron Diaz, Whoopi Goldberg, Robin Williams, Adam Sandler, Shaun White, Hilary Duff, Justin Timberlake, Jessica Alba, the Wayans brothers (Shawn and Marlon), Hugh Jackman, Sasha Cohen, Apolo Anton Ohno, Eve, Lindsay Lohan, Jamie Lynn Spears, Lance Armstrong, Romeo, Ludacris, David Spade, Rob Schneider, Nelly, Jon Heder, Drake Bell, Josh Peck, Emma Roberts, Jesse McCartney, Avril Lavigne, Ryan Seacrest, Tony Hawk, Tom Kenny, Nick Cannon, Kristin Cavallari, Kevin James, Toby Dawson and Devon Werkheiser. Music superstars/platinum selling recording artists Pink, Chris Brown and Bow Wow rocked the house with hit performances.

As this year's Favorite Movie Actor for Hitch, Will Smith walked off with his fifth Blimp. Lindsay Lohan nabbed the award for Favorite Movie Actress and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire triumphed as Favorite Movie. Chris Rock clinched Favorite Voice in an Animated Movie while SpongeBob SquarePants absorbed honors for the fourth consecutive year as Favorite Cartoon. Top TV awards went to Drake & Josh as Favorite Show, to title star Drake Bell as Favorite Actor and to Jamie Lynn Spears (Zoey 101) as Favorite Actress. Lance Armstrong scored a Blimp for Favorite Athlete, and in music, Green Day picked up a pair for Favorite Music Group and Favorite Song (Wake Me Up When September Ends). Jesse McCartney and Kelly Clarkson netted Favorite Male Singer and Favorite Female Singer. The Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling took Favorite Book honors.

Chris Rock received The Wannabe Award, which is an annual honor bestowed on a celebrity role model who kids most "want to be." In an exceptional "Burping with the Stars" competition, former Burp Award winners Hugh Jackman (2005) and Justin Timberlake (2003) faced off in the ultimate burp-off hosted by Tom Bergeron (Dancing with the Stars). Justin Timberlake took the cake as the best belcher while his opponent, Jackman, took pie in the face.

Slime was abundant at Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice. US Olympic Freestyle Aerial Skier Ryan St Onge nailed a gravity-defying freestyle ski stunt off a snowy slope, plunging into a 10,000-gallon tank of Nickelodeon's signature green slime. An elated Adam Sandler got down and messy and in a climactic moment of mess, slime showers splashed down on a surprised Robin Williams who then spread the goo, turning Jack Black a gleeful green.
